How the pricing works (and the asterisk on the headline number)

Amazon's lowest number is an estimated $25 a month for Foundayo. That figure only lands if two things stack: you have commercial insurance AND the manufacturer savings card applies. It also needs prior authorization through a scheduled One Medical visit. The online On-Demand program is cash only for medication, so the insurance route means booking scheduled visits near a One Medical office. If you're uninsured, the headline evaporates.

For cash-pay patients, Foundayo and the Wegovy pill both start at $149 a month (medication billed separately). That's competitive against the category median of about $182. And it's a brand product, not a compounded one. Amazon now publishes cash prices for every dose, which is rare for a brand-name channel. Who should choose Amazon One Medical, and who should skip it

Choose it if you value brand-name authenticity over the lowest possible price and want to see every dose's cash price before you start. It's a fit if you live near a One Medical office and have commercial insurance worth using. It also suits a major-metro shopper who wants same-day delivery or kiosk pickup.

Skip it if you're uninsured and price-sensitive; compounded providers will almost always undercut $149/month (medication billed separately). Skip it if you have diabetes or are 65 or older, since the online program excludes you. Skip it too if you have no recent kidney and glucose labs and don't want to buy them. And outside the major-city delivery zones, same-day drops to next-day or slower.

Trust, oversight, and safety

On the credibility axis, Amazon One Medical scores well. There are no FDA warning letters on file for this channel, prescribing is handled by licensed One Medical clinicians, and the product is brand-name manufacturer medication, so there's no compounding pharmacy to vet, no formulation questions, and no doubt about whether it's the real thing.
