TrumpRx GLP-1 Prices: Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Foundayo

TrumpRx.gov is a federal website that lists cash prices for brand-name drugs whose makers signed “Most-Favored-Nation” pricing deals with the administration; it does not sell or ship anything itself^[1]. In September 2026 it lists Zepbound (vial and KwikPen) at $299 to $449 a month by dose, Wegovy pens at $199 for a new patient's first two fills and then $349, the Wegovy pill at $149 to $299, Ozempic at $199 then $349 to $499, Mounjaro at $499 for every dose, and Foundayo (orforglipron) at $149 to $299^{[2][3][4][5][6][8][9]}. Every one of those numbers is the same price the manufacturer already charges cash-paying patients through LillyDirect or NovoCare Pharmacy^[15][17]. TrumpRx is a front door to those programs, not a cheaper channel. For comparison, compounded semaglutide from the telehealth providers in our pricing index had a median published price of about $175 a month in September 2026, and compounded tirzepatide about $239.

What TrumpRx is, and what it is not

The site's own FAQ puts it plainly: “TrumpRx is a website that lists discounted drug prices from manufacturers that have agreed to Most Favored Nation (MFN) pricing,” and the discounts are shown as “Presidential deals”^[1]. The program came out of agreements the White House announced with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk in November 2025, which promised that Ozempic and Wegovy would “fall from $1,000 and $1,350 per month, respectively, to $350” through TrumpRx and that Zepbound would fall “to an average of $346”^[11]. Lilly's release the same day spelled out the Zepbound ladder that later appeared on the site: the multi-dose pen “at the lowest dose at $299, with additional doses up to $449”^[13]. Novo Nordisk filed its side of the deal with the SEC as an agreement to expand affordability “in direct-to-patient cash channel” with implementation beginning in 2026^[14].

The site launched on February 5, 2026 with drugs from five manufacturers, and the launch fact sheet gave the GLP-1 headline numbers: Ozempic and injectable Wegovy “to an average price of $350 and as low as $199,” the Wegovy pill “as low as $149,” and Zepbound “to an average price of $346 and as low as $299”^[10]. In May 2026 it added more than 600 generic drugs priced through pharmacy discount aggregators, listed separately from the brand deals^[12]. Three things it is not: it is not a pharmacy (“TrumpRx displays discounted drug pricing offers but does not sell or dispense drugs”), it is not insurance (“TrumpRx discounted pricing is only available for cash-paying patients”), and it is not a prescriber; you still need a valid prescription from your own clinician^[1].

Which GLP-1s TrumpRx lists in September 2026

• Zepbound vial and Zepbound KwikPen (tirzepatide, Lilly), 2.5 mg through 15 mg. The single-dose Zepbound pen is not listed^[4][5].
• Wegovy pen and Wegovy pill (semaglutide, Novo Nordisk), including the 7.2 mg Wegovy HD pen and the 1.5, 4, 9 and 25 mg tablets^[2][3].
• Ozempic pen and Ozempic pill (semaglutide, Novo Nordisk), a diabetes product; TrumpRx only honors prescriptions written “for an FDA-approved indication within Ozempic's labeling”^[6][7].
• Mounjaro single-dose pen (tirzepatide, Lilly), 2.5 mg through 15 mg^[8].
• Foundayo tablets (orforglipron, Lilly), 0.8 mg through 17.2 mg^[9].
• Generic liraglutide appears in the generics catalog with a coupon, priced by a discount aggregator rather than by a manufacturer deal^[1]. Saxenda by name is not listed.

TrumpRx price by drug and dose vs LillyDirect, NovoCare and compounded

The pattern in that table is the whole story. Line up the TrumpRx column against the manufacturer column and they match on every row. Lilly's own Zepbound page lists “Starting at $299/month” for 2.5 mg and “Starting at $449/month when you refill within 45 days” for 7.5 mg and up, with the footnote that “Regular prices will apply if prescription is not refilled within 45 days ($499 for 7.5mg, $699 for 10mg, $699 for 12.5mg, and $699 for 15mg)”^[15]. Lilly's self-pay terms give the same ladder for the vial and the KwikPen and date the $449 purchase offer to fills “beginning February 23, 2026”^[16]. NovoCare's Wegovy page reads “pay $199 for each month of 0.25 mg & 0.5 mg” for two fills through December 31, 2026, “then $349 per month”^[17], and its Ozempic page carries the matching $199, $349 and $499 tiers^[18]. TrumpRx even shows the same “Original Price” the manufacturers use, which it defines as the wholesale acquisition cost^[2][4]. Nobody is charging less because you arrived through TrumpRx; what the site adds is one place to see the deals and, for the Novo drugs, a coupon you can take to a local pharmacy instead of ordering from NovoCare.

Against compounded GLP-1s the comparison is less flattering to the brand deals. In September 2026 the telehealth providers in our dataset published a median of about $175 a month for compounded semaglutide across 556 priced tiers, and about $239 for compounded tirzepatide across 509 tiers; counting each provider once at its cheapest dose, the medians were about $150 and $219. The one brand price that lands at or below the compounded median is the Wegovy pill at $149 for 1.5 mg, which is a starting dose. A maintenance dose of Zepbound at $449 costs roughly twice the compounded tirzepatide median, and Wegovy at $349 roughly twice the compounded semaglutide median. What the brand buys you is an FDA-approved finished product in a pen or vial with a fixed dose; compounded versions are not FDA-approved and vary by pharmacy, a trade-off covered in Wegovy pen vs compounded vial and the no-insurance buyer's guide.

Who qualifies

• Cash-paying patients only. “At this time, TrumpRx discounted pricing is only available for cash-paying patients”^[1]. If you have commercial coverage for the drug, check your copay first; the manufacturer savings cards (as little as $25 a month for Wegovy or Zepbound with eligible commercial insurance) are a different program and usually cheaper.
• A valid prescription for a labeled use. The Novo coupon terms require that you “have been prescribed Wegovy for an FDA-approved indication within Wegovy's labeling,” and the Ozempic terms say the same for Ozempic, which means a diabetes diagnosis^[2][6].
• U.S. resident, 18 or older. The Wegovy and Ozempic coupon pages require that you are “a resident of the United States or a United States Territory” and “18 years of age or older”^[2][6].
• Government-insured patients are a gray area, read the drug's terms. The Wegovy pill and Ozempic pill pages say “Government beneficiaries excluded”^[3][7]. The pen pages instead let a Medicare, Medicaid, VA or TRICARE patient use the offer as a cash purchase on the condition that they “not ask your insurance to pay you back” and do not count the cost toward a deductible or out-of-pocket limit^[2][6]. • No account, no membership, no fee. “There is no need to create an account or register,” and “TrumpRx is free to use”^[1].

How ordering actually works

There are two different pathways, and which one you get depends on the manufacturer. For the Novo Nordisk drugs (Wegovy pen, Wegovy pill, Ozempic pen, Ozempic pill), TrumpRx shows a coupon. You accept the offer terms on the drug page, the site reveals a pharmacy coupon (a BIN, PCN, group and member ID), and you “present the coupon at your pharmacy to claim your TrumpRx savings”^[2]. The coupon terms disclose that “this program is administered by GoodRx on behalf of Novo Nordisk,” and the pharmacist submits it as the primary claim^[2]. The site says these coupons “can be used at local pharmacies on a nationwide basis”^[1]. Your prescriber sends the prescription to the pharmacy you choose, not to TrumpRx: “Prescriptions do not need to be sent to TrumpRx”^[1]. For the Lilly drugs (Zepbound vial, Zepbound KwikPen, Mounjaro, Foundayo) there is no coupon. The TrumpRx page is a hand-off: “Eli Lilly and Company manages all Zepbound (Tirzepatide) Vial orders through LillyDirect,” and the button sends you to LillyDirect with your dose preselected^[4]. LillyDirect confirms eligibility and ships to you; for the KwikPen and Foundayo it also offers to “transfer to a retail pharmacy of your choosing”^[5][9]. You still need your own prescription, and a KwikPen order requires buying pen needles separately^[15]. One practical wrinkle carries over from Lilly's program: on 7.5 mg and above, the $449 price only holds if you refill within 45 days of the previous delivery; a late refill is billed at the regular $499 or $699^[16]. That matters clinically as well as financially. In a Cleveland Clinic cohort of 3,389 adults, patients with persistent medication coverage in the first year lost 5.5% of body weight versus 1.8% with fewer than 90 covered days^[20], so a pricing rule that penalizes gaps is worth planning around.

What TrumpRx does not cover

• Insurance prices. Nothing on the site changes your copay. Insured patients are told to “always check the TrumpRx price against those offered through their insurance companies”^[1].
• Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. “All drugs listed at TrumpRx are FDA approved”^[1]; the compounded vials sold by telehealth providers are not on the site, and no compounded price is compared there.
• The Zepbound single-dose pen. TrumpRx lists the vial and the KwikPen only^[4][5], which mirrors Lilly's self-pay program; the single-dose pen's $25 savings card requires commercial insurance that covers the pen, so it is not a cash-pay price^[16].
• A prescriber or a visit. The site does not diagnose, prescribe or collect prescriptions^[1]. If you do not have a clinician, that is a separate cost; see our weight-loss injection rankings.
• Medicare's $50 copay. The November 2025 deal also set a $245 Medicare price and a $50 beneficiary copay for Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound^[11], but that runs through Part D plans, not through TrumpRx.
• Saxenda, Rybelsus and Victoza by brand name. Liraglutide appears only as an aggregator-priced generic, listed as “Liraglutide (Generic for Victoza)”^[1]. Trulicity, by contrast, is on the site as a manufacturer deal.

Caveats: timing, availability and prices that will change

• Two of the headline prices are introductory and dated. The $199 Wegovy pen and $199 Ozempic pen prices apply to a new patient's first two monthly fills of the 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg strength, “between 11/17/2025 - 12/31/2026,” and the ongoing price is $349^[2][6]. Foundayo's $149 (2.5 mg) and $199 (5.5 mg) prices are “temporarily reduced through December 31, 2026”^[9][19].
• Manufacturers can pull or change the offers. Novo Nordisk “reserves the right to rescind, revoke, or amend this offer without notice at any time”^[2], and Lilly's purchase offer “may be terminated, rescinded, revoked, or amended by Lilly at any time”^[16].
• TrumpRx does not date its listings. Each drug page shows “Last updated unavailable”^[2][4], so the site itself gives you no way to tell how fresh a price is; cross-check the manufacturer page.
• The averages in the announcements are not a price you can pay. The “$346 average” for Zepbound and “$350” for Wegovy in the White House and company announcements^[10][11] are blends across doses; the actual bill is $299, $399 or $449 for Zepbound and $199 or $349 for Wegovy, by dose.
• The catalog is still changing. TrumpRx says “more drugs are added all the time”^[1] and the generics section only appeared in May 2026^[12]; Lilly's release said Mounjaro, Trulicity and Emgality would be added to LillyDirect self-pay at 50 to 60 percent off list^[13], and Mounjaro is now on the site at $499^[8].
• Coupon prices are pharmacy-dependent in practice. The Novo coupons work at retail pharmacies that dispense the drug, “with the exception of certain specialty drugs”^[1]; call ahead, since a pharmacy that does not stock Wegovy cannot fill it at any price.

Bottom line

Use TrumpRx as a directory, not as a discount. If you are paying cash for brand-name Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro or Foundayo, the price on TrumpRx.gov is the manufacturer's own self-pay price, and the site is a convenient way to see all of them side by side and, for the Novo drugs, to fill at a local pharmacy with a coupon. It will not beat LillyDirect or NovoCare, because it is LillyDirect and NovoCare.
