GLP-1 expiration / Beyond-Use-Date tracker

When should I discard my GLP-1 vial or pen?

Enter your first-injection date and current storage condition. The tool returns your discard date and days remaining per the FDA-approved label for each brand-name product, plus the typical USP <797> conventions for compounded vials. Built on verbatim DailyMed citations — never use accessdata.fda.gov PDF URLs (they 404 silently when label revisions ship).

For oral tablets, this field is informational only — tablets follow the printed expiration on the bottle.

Storage rules for Wegovy (semaglutide injection)

  • Refrigerated until first use: Until printed expiration
  • Room-temperature in-use BUD: 28 days at ≤30°C / 86°F after first use
  • Refrigerated in-use BUD: 28 days after first use

If heat-exposed: Wegovy can be stored at up to 30°C (86°F) for up to 28 days after first use. If your pen was at higher temperatures (above 30°C / 86°F) for more than a few hours, discard it and call your pharmacy for a replacement.

This is not medical advice. Storage rules are sourced from FDA-approved labels (DailyMed) for brand-name products and from USP <797> for compounded products. The Beyond-Use Date (BUD) printed on YOUR pharmacy label always wins — if it differs from the calculator's recommendation (especially for compounded products), defer to your pharmacy. If you're unsure whether your medication is still safe to use, contact your prescriber or pharmacist.
