Best Wegovy Pill Providers in 2026 — Ranked & Reviewed

The Wegovy pill is oral semaglutide, the same molecule as the Wegovy injection in a once-daily tablet, approved by the FDA in December 2025 for adults with obesity or overweight plus a weight-related condition. It is a brand-name product, so every legitimate channel dispenses the same Novo Nordisk tablet; what differs is the price, whether a membership sits on top, and the care around the prescription. Every provider here has a published price for the Wegovy pill itself, and the price column shows that price, never the provider's injectable or compounded rate.

Lowest verified price: $297/mo (Good Girl Rx, lowest ongoing all-in monthly price; most $149 prices are the starting dose)22 providers compared

How this list is built

A provider is listed only when one of its price rows is for the Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide tablets), read from its own site. Rybelsus, the oral semaglutide approved for type 2 diabetes, and compounded oral semaglutide are different products and do not qualify. Many providers bill a membership or program fee on top of the pill price; the price column labels those rows.

Most of the $149 prices below are the 1.5 mg starting dose. The self-pay price published by Novo Nordisk's NovoCare Pharmacy rises with the dose: $149 a month for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg and $299 for 9 mg and 25 mg. The lowest price at the top of this page counts only prices listed as ongoing month-to-month with the medication included and no separate membership, so starting-dose prices and prices with a membership on top are left out of it.

The tablet is taken every morning on an empty stomach with up to 4 ounces of water, then nothing else for at least 30 minutes, and the dose is stepped up over about three months. Your prescriber sets the dose.

Sesame Care

Verified partner

Best for: Brand-name GLP-1s at cash prices, no compounding

8.0

Sesame is a transparent-pricing telehealth marketplace that connects patients directly with independent provider practices, a different setup from the stocked-formulary model of most weight-loss platforms. Its weight-loss vertical is brand-name only (no compounding): a $39–$99/month subscription covers clinical care, while medication is billed separately at cash-pay rates, including Zepbound from $299 via LillyDirect and a Wegovy self-pay promo at $199/month for the first two months, then $349.

Pros

  • ✓Marketplace transparency: pick a named provider with a displayed price before booking, unlike most opaque telehealth intake
  • ✓BBB-accredited and LegitScript-certified
  • ✓LillyDirect partnership unlocks Zepbound vial and KwikPen cash pricing matching Lilly's lowest direct rates ($299 at lowest dose)
  • ✓Wegovy self-pay promo ($199/mo for first two months, lowest dose, new self-pay), among the lowest brand-Wegovy cash prices
  • ✓Clear subscription scope: clinical care only, medication billed separately
  • ✓Stocks both Wegovy pill ($149/mo low doses) and Foundayo orforglipron alongside injectables
  • ✓Lab work included in subscription for 41 states (excludes AZ/HI/ND/NJ/NY/OK/RI/SD/WY)
  • ✓Insurance route ($25/mo possible) is viable, and providers assist with prior authorization

Cons

  • ✗Marketplace model means clinician credentials and quality vary provider to provider
  • ✗Statewide availability can't be listed, because it depends on which marketplace providers are licensed in your state
  • ✗No in-house pharmacy: fulfillment splits across LillyDirect, NovoCare, and your retail pharmacy
  • ✗Restrictive refunds: full refund only if you cancel 3+ hours before the first visit; no refund once the visit occurs
  • ✗Subscription commitment required, with no true pay-per-visit option for weight loss
  • ✗Wegovy $199/mo promo applies only to new self-pay patients at the lowest dose; $349/mo after month 2
  • ✗Wegovy pill high doses ($299/mo for 9mg/25mg) cost about 2x the low-dose price as you titrate up
  • ✗Zepbound KwikPen high doses ($699/mo for 10–15mg) approach Lilly's list price

How to choose where to get the Wegovy pill

Every legitimate channel dispenses the same Novo Nordisk tablet, so the choice comes down to the all-in monthly cost and the care around the prescription.

What to look for

  • The real Wegovy pill, not a substitute. Wegovy tablets are FDA-approved oral semaglutide for weight management. Rybelsus is approved for type 2 diabetes, and compounded oral semaglutide is a different, unapproved product. Confirm which one the provider is prescribing.
  • Pill price plus any membership. Many providers bill the tablet at the manufacturer's self-pay price and add a monthly membership or program fee. Add the two before you compare.
  • Help with the morning routine. The tablet only works if it is taken on an empty stomach with a little water and a 30-minute wait. A good provider explains this and checks in as the dose steps up.

Red flags to avoid

  • No named pharmacy or LegitScript listing. A legitimate compounded-GLP-1 provider names its 503A/503B pharmacy partner and carries LegitScript certification. If neither is disclosed, you can't verify what you're injecting.
  • Async-only, no real clinician review. A prescriber should review your intake and be reachable for dose questions. Instant approval with no way to reach a clinician is a safety gap.
  • Teaser pricing that hides the real cost. A low 'first month' price that jumps at higher doses, or a membership fee stacked on top of the medication, can double the true monthly total. Confirm the ongoing, all-in price before you pay.
  • Weight-loss claims for B12, MIC, or HCG shots. Only GLP-1 injections have trial evidence for weight loss. A clinic selling B12, lipotropic, or HCG shots as a weight-loss treatment is a red flag.

Every provider ranked above is scored against these criteria across our six-dimension methodology, and prices are re-verified against each provider’s live site.

How we rank & what counts as “legit”

Every provider in this ranking is scored against our published six-factor rubric[1] — value, effectiveness, user experience, trust & safety, accessibility, and support.

Brand-name Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, and Mounjaro are separately FDA-approved under their own NDA numbers[4][5]. Published Phase 3 efficacy for semaglutide 2.4 mg (~14.9% mean weight loss over 68 weeks) comes from the STEP 1 trial[6], and for tirzepatide (~20.9% at the 15 mg dose over 72 weeks) from SURMOUNT-1[7]; the SURMOUNT-5 head-to-head published in 2025 compared the two directly[8].

Insurance coverage for anti-obesity medications varies widely by state Medicaid program and commercial plan[9][10]. Compounded and brand-name GLP-1s are generally FSA/HSA eligible with a prescription under IRS Publication 502[11].

Always verify pricing and state availability on the provider's website before signing up.How our reviews work →

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Both are oral semaglutide, but Rybelsus (3, 7 and 14 mg) is approved for type 2 diabetes, while Wegovy tablets go up to 25 mg and carry the weight-management indication. Compounded oral semaglutide is a third, different product.
Novo Nordisk's self-pay price through NovoCare Pharmacy is $149 a month at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg and $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg. Many telehealth providers add a membership or program fee on top, and the price column on this page labels those rows.
Once a day in the morning on an empty stomach with up to 4 ounces of water, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other oral medicines. The dose steps up from 1.5 mg to 4 mg, 9 mg and then 25 mg over about three months, as your prescriber directs.
Each provider is evaluated across six weighted dimensions: Value (25%), Effectiveness (25%), User Experience (15%), Trust & Safety (15%), Accessibility (10%), and Support (10%). We research publicly available information, user reviews, clinical evidence, and pricing data, then compute a weighted overall score out of 10.
Each provider's score is computed independently using the six-dimension methodology, and a commercial relationship never changes a provider's underlying score — you can see every provider's full score on its card. Some providers have affiliate agreements with us, meaning we earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. On our highest-commercial-intent lists — including the semaglutide, tirzepatide, compounded and cheapest molecule lists, the weight-loss injection and shot lists, and the fitness-app list, and plan lists such as this one — we feature affiliate partners in the top positions; on every other list the order follows the score (or, for the cheapest lists, the lowest price) directly. This placement is disclosed here and on our methodology and affiliate-disclosure pages.
