Under the agreement, eligible patients who receive a prescription from a licensed provider on the Hims & Hers platform can get Zepbound (tirzepatide) or Foundayo (orforglipron) at the same self-pay prices Lilly offers any patient, with the medicine shipped to their home. The joint release gives the entry prices directly: “Self-pay pricing starts at $149 per month for Foundayo and $299 per month for Zepbound.”[1]
What the agreement covers
- Two FDA-approved Lilly drugs. Zepbound, the weekly tirzepatide injection, and Foundayo, Lilly’s daily oral GLP-1 pill.[1]
- A prescription still comes first. Patients complete a consultation and receive a prescription only if their provider decides it is appropriate. The companies say they have committed to protecting independent clinical decision-making, so providers on the platform keep choosing the treatment they think is right for each patient.[1]
- Prices match Lilly’s own self-pay prices. The release describes them as the same prices available to any patient, not a Hims & Hers discount.[1]
The compounding commitment
The release adds: “Hims & Hers has never offered access to compounded copies of Lilly’s GLP-1s, and has committed not to do so in the future.”[1] That sentence is about Lilly’s medicines. The release does not address compounded versions of GLP-1 drugs made by other companies.
What it means if you are paying cash
The $149 and $299 figures are starting prices for the medication. The release does not list a price for each dose, and it does not say whether a Hims & Hers membership fee applies on top, so check both before you sign up. Our guide to getting Zepbound prescribed online compares the routes to brand-name tirzepatide, including Lilly’s own self-pay pharmacy, and our rundown of where to buy Foundayo lists the services that already dispense the pill and what each charges on top of the drug. For the platform itself, our Hims & Hers review covers how its weight-loss program works and what it costs.
