Medical disclaimer

Accuracy and data sources

Medication information in ShotSync is sourced from FDA-approved prescribing information and PubMed-indexed clinical trials. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we make no warranty that information in the app is complete, current, or error-free.

Pharmacokinetic curves, clinical trial comparison data, and peer comparison statistics are for informational purposes only. Clinical decisions should not be based solely on information provided by ShotSync. Individual results vary significantly based on genetics, adherence, diet, exercise, and other factors.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ShotSync. GLP-1 receptor agonists discussed in the app are prescription medications intended for adult use under medical supervision. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

User responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into ShotSync, including weight, doses, and side effect logs.
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your device if you want to preserve your ShotSync data. We cannot recover data that has been deleted.
• You agree not to use ShotSync as a substitute for professional medical care.

AI features

ShotSync includes optional AI-powered features that send data to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing:

• AI Coach (Pro+): peptide-grounded Q&A. Your question, the active peptide context, and the verified research summary for that peptide are sent to Claude. Conversation history is retained on your device for 30 days.
• Meal Scan (Pro+, Lifestyle tab): photos of food are sent to Claude Vision for macro estimation (calories, protein, carbs, fat) along with a brief list of detected items and a confidence band (low / medium / high). The photo is not retained server-side after the estimate is returned. Estimates are best-effort visual approximations only — portion size, hidden ingredients (oils, sauces, dressings), cooking method, and brand-specific nutrition cannot be reliably inferred from a photo, and results can be materially wrong, especially on mixed plates and packaged foods. Meal Scan is not nutrition counseling, is not a medical, dietary, or diabetes-management tool, and is not a substitute for a registered dietitian, a nutrition-label read, or a medical-grade tracker such as Cronometer. You are responsible for any decision you make based on a Meal Scan output, including but not limited to insulin dosing, carbohydrate counting, calorie targeting, and any other clinical or therapeutic use — none of which Meal Scan is designed for or fit for.
• Body Scan (Pro+, weekly): a single body photo plus your height, weight, sex, and age are sent to Claude Vision for an estimated body fat percentage with a confidence band. The photo is not retained server-side after the estimate is returned. Limited to one scan per seven days.
• AI Insight (Pro+): aggregated summaries of your last 30 days of logged data are sent to Claude to produce a daily insight card. No raw photos are sent for this feature.

All AI estimates — including Body Scan body fat percentage, Meal Scan macros, and AI Coach answers — are not clinical measurements, are not diagnostic, and should not be the sole basis for any health decision. Body composition estimates from a single photo carry an inherent error band (typically ±5 percentage points) and are intended for trend tracking, not absolute assessment. Always confirm important values with a clinical-grade method (DEXA, BIA scale, lab bloodwork, or registered dietitian) and consult your provider before changing protocol based on any AI output.

Intellectual property

ShotSync, the ShotSync logo, and all content within the app (including text, graphics, user interface design, and code) are the property of Weight Loss Rankings (MEAS Partners, LLC) and are protected by United States and international copyright laws. Content from WeightLossRankings.org displayed within the app is subject to the same protections.

Drug names such as Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Zepbound are registered trademarks of their respective owners (Novo Nordisk A/S and Eli Lilly and Company). See our trademark disclaimer for full details.

Affiliate disclosure

ShotSync contains links to telehealth providers. Some of these links are affiliate links — when you click through and sign up with a provider, we may earn a commission. This is how we fund the app and keep it free.

Affiliate relationships do not influence provider rankings, recommendations, or the information presented in the app. Every provider is evaluated using the same published scoring methodology. Providers without affiliate relationships are included and scored identically. For full details, see our affiliate disclosure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Weight Loss Rankings (MEAS Partners, LLC) and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use ShotSync
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in app content
• Any health decisions you make based on information in the app
• Loss of locally stored data due to device failure, app deletion, or any other cause
• Unauthorized access to your device or data stored on it

ShotSync is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Discontinuation

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue ShotSync (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the app.

Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except as provided in the “Consumers in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland” section below. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of ShotSync shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction within the State of New York, United States, subject to the same exception.

For the purposes of Article 14a of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (as amended) and Articles 11 and 12 of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065):

ShotSync does not host, store, or publicly disseminate user-generated content (all personal tracking data stays on your device), and accordingly the DSA’s content-moderation, notice-and-action, and transparency-reporting obligations applicable to “online platforms” (Articles 16 and 24 of the DSA) do not apply to this service.

Consumers in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, nothing in these terms — including the limitation-of-liability provisions and the governing-law clause above — limits, excludes, or overrides any statutory right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement. You retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence under the applicable consumer-protection rules. Where any provision of these terms conflicts with such a mandatory right, that provision is, to the minimum extent necessary, disapplied as to you. Nothing in this section limits the medical disclaimer, accuracy disclaimer, or eligibility and user-responsibility provisions above, which reflect the fundamental nature of ShotSync as a personal tracking tool rather than a waiver of statutory rights.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last updated. Your continued use of ShotSync after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should stop using the app.
