hello@weightlossrankings.orgFrequently asked questions
Is ShotSync free?
Yes, ShotSync is completely free — no subscription, no premium tier, no trial period. The app is supported by affiliate links to telehealth providers. When you find a provider through ShotSync and sign up, we may earn a commission. Your health data is never sold or monetized.
Where is my data stored?
All personal health data (weight, doses, side effects, mood) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It never leaves your phone. The only data sent to our servers is anonymous aggregate information (drug type, week number, weight change percentage) if you opt in to the peer comparison feature.
Can I export my data?
Data export is coming in a future update. In the meantime, your data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or iTunes/Finder) so it transfers when you set up a new device from a backup.
How do I delete my data?
Open ShotSync, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete All Data." This permanently removes all locally stored health data from your device. This action cannot be undone.
What drugs does ShotSync support?
ShotSync currently supports tracking for Wegovy (semaglutide), Ozempic (semaglutide), Zepbound (tirzepatide), Mounjaro (tirzepatide), compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, and Saxenda/Victoza (liraglutide). The app includes the full FDA-approved dose ladders for each medication.
Do I need an account?
No. ShotSync does not require account creation. There is no sign-up, no email verification, no password. You download the app and start tracking immediately.
How does the peer comparison work?
When you opt in, ShotSync sends anonymous data points — drug type, week number, and weight change percentage — to our database. These are aggregated to create comparison curves showing how your progress compares to other users on the same medication. No personally identifiable information is included. You can opt out at any time in Settings.
The app crashed or something is not working. What do I do?
First, try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, make sure you are running the latest version from the App Store. If the problem continues, email us at hello@weightlossrankings.org with a description of the issue and your iOS version — we will investigate and get back to you.
Will my data transfer to a new phone?
If you set up your new iPhone from an iCloud or iTunes/Finder backup of your old device, your ShotSync data should transfer automatically as part of the standard iOS backup. If you set up as a new device without restoring from backup, your ShotSync data will not transfer.
